Subaru
Thanks to the generosity of the Santa Cruz Suburu Dealership Friends of Carden has raised $7660. Suburu has generously donated a 2008 Suburu Outback to 42 schools in Santa Cruz County.
The drawing is being held at the Santa Cruz Subaru dealership on the 11th. The winner will be notified by phone that same day and the Santa Cruz Sentential may print the winners name. Raffle tickets were $5/each or 6 for $25. The drawing for the Suburu Outback will be held November 11th. Good Luck and remember to patronize our generous donor!
Matching Funds
FOC is a nonprofit organization with a 501(c)(3) designation and is eligible for matching funds programs.
Most employers have a strong belief that if you provide people the resources they need, they can accomplish great things. These employers often make monetary and in-kind contributions to eligible nonprofit organizations to help people and communities realize their potential.
Employers vary on what they will fund but most will contribute to programs and organizations that focus on:
· Education
· Arts and Music
· Caring
To find out if your employer has a matching funds program, check with your human resources or community affairs department. If they do, FOC may be eligible to become a participant in their program. Usually that means each time you make a donation of time or money to FOC, your employer will match that donation of money or in-kind time.
Usually all you need to participate in the program is the organization’s nonprofit 501(c)(3) number. To get that number, and any other information you might need for your employer, please contact Susan McKay at president@friendsofcarden.org or 831-336-3067.
