Text Box: You may have seen the information at the Open House or at the sign in the office about “EScrip” , a wonderfully easy way for our school to make money from vendors when we use our credit and debit cards that are registered with escrip. (electronic scrip).
HOWEVER, I would like to tell you about something different that can be used in conjunction with our “EScrip” program. It’s called “Scrip”. The best way to describe Scrip is that it is FREE MONEY FOR OUR SCHOOL!
Text Box: The school carries a supply of Scrip cards which, simply put, are gift cards. The inventory of choices is virtually endless and MANY local vendors, such as Shoppers Corner, participate as well.
Here’s how it works. You buy a card here at school. You will buy the card for its exact worth. The vendors then pay us a percentage for their profits. So if you pay $20 for a gift certificate, you will get the entire $20 value to spend any way you choose.
If you plan it right, you can stop by and pick up $100 in Text Box: gift cards for Safeway and use it to buy all of your groceries.
With the holidays just around the corner, you might want to think about buying holiday gifts, food, decorations etc through Scrip.
Our plan is to make it very easy to purchase Scrip at Carden and hope to have it available for purchase within the next couple of weeks.
Watch for more information. Contact Margaret Price 831-566-3237 for Text Box: Teacher Laison Committee
Text Box: After several brainstorming meetings, two committees have been established. We are happy to report that there is both a Teacher Laison Committee and a Teacher Recognition Committee.
The aim of the Teacher Laison Committee is to assist the Carden teachers with spending the Friends of Carden fundraising monies.
Thanks to Shari Scruton (Chair), Sue Armstrong, Bernice Bernstain, Susan McKay and Liz DeFrancesco for their work on these committees.

How about those fancy signs decorating our campus these days?
Kudos to Lydia Bettencourt, Sue Armstrong and one of our newest Carden mothers, Sharon Wilson.
